• Display and Configuration

  The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with a large 6.3-inch super AMOLED curved display and features a Corning Gorilla Glass v5 on top of it. It has a screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,960 pixels and a pixel density of 552ppi. Under the hood, there are two quad core processors - 2.3 GHz M2 Mongoose and 1.7 GHz Cortex A53 seated upon Samsung Exynos 9 Octa 8895 chipset. It is aided by 6GB of RAM and Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. The handset boots on Android v7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system and supports the S-Pen stylus provided along with the device. It is available in four different colors - Midnight Black and Maple Gold. The handset is loaded with features such as - a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, Heart Rate Monitor sensor, IRIS scanner etc.

  
  

  Features, Camera, and Storage

  The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor at the rear beside the camera. It is also dust proof and water resistant with IP68 rating. For photography and videography, the smartphone is armed with dual back cameras of 12MP resolution each, equipped with features like CMOS image sensor and phase detection autofocus. An 8MP camera has been provided for selfies and video calling. For storage, an internal memory of 64GB has been provided. For further expansion, the memory slot can accommodate cards up to 128GB.

  Verdict

  Albeit expensive, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 can easily be termed as the best smartphone in the market. Equipped with great photography capabilities, sound performance, curved display, S-Pen and wireless charging support, the smartphone is worthy of its high price tag.
